Thank You for the Memories
Dear fans, teammates, coaches, and friends,
As I stand here tonight, I feel a sense of gratitude that is hard to put into words. Basketball has been my life for the past 20 years, and it has given me more than I ever could have imagined. I am grateful for the countless memories, the championships, the friendships, and the lessons that I have learned along the way. But most of all, I am grateful for you—the fans who have supported me through thick and thin. Thank you for being there for me, for cheering me on, and for making me feel like a part of something special.
The Power of Hard Work
Over the years, I have been asked many times what my secret to success is. And the answer is always the same: hard work. I have never been the most talented player on the court, but I have always been willing to put in the work. I have always been willing to sacrifice, to push myself to the limit, and to never give up. And that is what has made all the difference. Basketball is a game of inches, and it is the little things that make the biggest impact. It is the extra hours in the gym, the extra reps on the court, and the extra focus during film study that separate the good from the great. And I am proud to say that I have always been willing to do whatever it takes to be great.
A Legacy that Will Live On
As I prepare to retire from basketball, I am proud of what I have accomplished. I am proud of the championships, the awards, and the records that I have set. But more than that, I am proud of the legacy that I will leave behind. I have always believed that basketball is more than just a game—it is a way of life. It teaches us about hard work, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. And these are the values that I hope to pass on to future generations. Whether you are a basketball player or not, I hope that my journey inspires you to chase your dreams, to never give up, and to always strive for greatness. Because if there is one thing that I have learned in my 20 years in the NBA, it is that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and are willing to put in the work.
